Beloved country music singer ‘barely alive’ after breaking neck in interstate crash


Beloved country music singer JD Graham remains to be alive after a current horrific interstate crash, and it seems like he’s fortunate to have the ability to say that.

Graham checked in with followers on social media from his hospital mattress, sporting a neck brace, Wednesday night time.

“Hey folks. Here I sit,” he said in the clip posted to his Facebook. “I’m barely alive here. Thank you guys. I’m still discombobulated, but my daughter said that people are helping out with some things. We got a broken back, broken ribs, broken heart, dog died that was in the car with me.

“It’s a tragedy,” he added. “Thank you guys for the assist, and I hope to see you guys quickly. I’m not too fearful about music stuff proper now in any respect. I simply bought to get higher. Just supplying you with guys an replace. Later. Love you.”

According to a GoFundMe arrange by his daughter, Destiny Graham, JD was in the crash on Feb. 24.

“My dad, Jeremy Graham, was involved in a very serious accident on the interstate,” Destiny wrote on the GoFundMe. “He was hit by one semi after which slammed into one other. The crash was extreme, and first responders needed to lower him out of his automobile. He was taken to a close-by hospital after which life flighted to a trauma heart in Texas, the place he’s presently being handled.”

She wrote that the family was still waiting on “several tests to understand the full extent of his injuries, but we do know this is going to be a long and difficult recovery.”

“He has a broken neck, a broken back, and several broken ribs, and he will be unable to walk for some time,” the GoFundMe post continued. “Watching something go through something like this has been incredibly hard for all of us.”

Destiny Graham wrote that the outpouring of love and support from musicians has “been absolutely incredibly to witness.”

Adding to the situation, she wrote that her stepmom, Amy, just finished a battle with cancer and is unable to work due to that.

“As many of you know, my dad travels all over the country for his job and had many important shows coming up that he now won’t be able to attend,” she continued. “Life doesn’t slow down though bills still come, responsibilities continue, and right now we don’t even know how long we will need to stay here in Texas or when we will be able to go home.”

She said when her father is able to return home he will “have a long road ahead with extensive physical and mental rehabilitation.”

“If you know my dad, you know the kind of person he is,” she wrote. “He is the best grandpa, dad, husband, and friend anyone could ask for, and the support being shown to him right now means everything to our family.

“Thank you for continuing to put him in your prayers and for loving our family so well.”
