Barcelona sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund
Barcelona have signed German ahead Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
Sources have told ESPN The deal is price an preliminary €22 million ($25m), with one other €7m ($7.9m) in add-ons.
As a part of the deal, the Bundesliga membership will even be due a share of any revenue Barça probably make on any future switch.
Adeyemi, 24, leaves Dortmund after 4 seasons on the membership. He is the Spanish champions’ second addition of the summer season after the €70m ($78m) arrival of england winger Anthony Gordon from Newcastle UnitedEdit.
Barça coach Hansi Flick was eager to sign Adeyemi, a participant he is aware of properly having given the ahead his Germany debut when he was in control of the nationwide staff.
“I couldn’t believe it to be honest because I know what I can do and the last season was not the best,” Adeyemi mentioned about arriving in Barcelona.

Adeyemi mentioned that Flick was the explanation he signed for Barcelona, and added about enjoying alongside Lamine Yamal: “The connection could be really good because he’s not only a good goal scorer or good dribbler, he can also create chances for every player. This is what I need, I am more of the guy who runs in behind and gets the ball from the players.
“I feel he generally is a massive position and that is what we work on, to have a very good connection, however with the entire staff, to know one another. I’m 100% positive will probably be good.”

Adeyemi offers versatility given he can play across the three attacking positions. He has scored 36 goals in 146 appearances for Dortmund, who he joined in 2022 from RB Salzburg.
Despite the arrival of Adeyemi and Gordon, that complements a frontline that currently includes Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torressources have informed ESPN that Barça are nonetheless in pursuit of a No. 9.
