Winning an ATP Tour title is an achievement in itself. But doing so after getting back from the brink of defeat arguably provides one other layer of significance.
So far in the 2026 season, three gamers have managed to stage dramatic comebacks, saving match factors en route to lifting a trophy.
Ben Shelton staged an important escape at the Nexo Dallas Open in February when he saved three championship factors to carry the title at the ATP 500 occasion. In April, Mariano Navone fenced off two match factors at the Tiriac Open presented by UniCredit Bank in his semi-final conflict. One day later, the Argentine lifted his first tour-level title.
On the identical day, Tommy Paul saved three championship factors at the Fayez Sarofim & Co. US Men’s Clay Court Championship to win his first tour-level crown since 2024.
