RMU Men’s Hockey Moves on to the Semi Finals

Robert Morris University Men’s Hockey beat the United States Air Force Academy this weekend in the best-of-three collection in the quarterfinals spherical of the AHA playoffs. Losing the first recreation in double extra time, the Colonials fought again and dominated in the second and third video games to earn their spot in the semi-finals.

Tanner Klimpke scored twice for the Colonials of their 3-2 extra time loss in the first recreation of the collection. The Colonials’ penalty kill couldn’t maintain up as they let in a short-handed purpose that allowed Air Force to safe the extra time win. Robert Morris got here again stronger in the second recreation as they beat Air Force 4-1, forcing recreation three. With the collection tied, the Colonials dominated in the third recreation. Charlie Schenkel led the workforce with a program-record 60 saves. Michael Felsing scored two targets, with Ryan Taylor, John Babcock, and Max Wattvil every recording one purpose. Wattvil scored his first as a Colonial. Robert Morris shut down Air Force, successful 5-2, and advancing to the AHA semi-finals.
