No. 1 UConn to Host Georgetown in Regular Season Home Finale

STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn ladies’s basketball staff (29-0, 18-0 BIG EAST) faces Georgetown (13-14, 6-12) Thursday at 7 pm in PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford. The sport will air on TNT/truTV and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97.9).

UConn will have fun National Girls & Women in Sports Day vs. the Hoyas.

UConn had a season-high 26 steals in an 81-38 win over Providence on Sunday. The Friars had 39 turnovers, which tied the UConn report for many turnovers by an opponent. graduate scholar Azzi Fudd and sophomore (*1*) led the Huskies with 13 factors every. Redshirt sophomore Jana El Alfy set a profession excessive with 16 rebounds whereas junior K. K. Arnold had a career-high 10 assists.

With a win over Villanova final week, UConn clinched the 2025-26 BIG EAST Regular Season Championship and the No. 1 seed in subsequent month’s BIG EAST Tournament.

Including BIG EAST Tournament video games, the Huskies have received 65 straight league video games.

UConn is 58-6 all-time vs. Georgetown. The Huskies have received the final 41 conferences between the groups. The groups final met on Jan. 22 in Washington, DC, an 83-42 win for the Huskies. Strong led UConn with 25 factors, eight rebounds and 5 assists in the sport. Fudd’s mom Katie performed at Georgetown from 1998-01.

Georgetown fell to Butler, 66-58, final Saturday. This season, Khia Miller leads the Hoyas with 9.9 factors per sport. Darnell Haney is in his second season as head coach at Georgetown.
