Houston Dynamo acquire Aliyu Ibrahim from Columbus Crew

Houston Dynamo FC have acquired ahead Aliyu Ibrahim from the Columbus Crewthe golf equipment introduced Thursday.
In trade for the 24-year-old Nigerian, Columbus receives a assured $250,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM), plus a further $500k in performance-based GAM.
“We are pleased to welcome Aliyu Ibrahim back to Houston, where he played an important role during two successful seasons with our club,” stated president of soccer Pat Onstad. “As we proceed to evolve our system this season, we need to add depth to our wingback group, and Aliyu has the qualities to thrive in that function.
“His skill to cowl floor, assault area and contribute on each side of the ball suits properly with the expectations of our broad gamers. We look ahead to welcoming him and his household again to the town of Houston.”
Ibrahim initially joined Columbus from Houston in April 2025in a deal value as much as $1.2 million. He produced 3g/3g in 28 video games throughout all competitions for the Crew, however did not function this season.
Ibrahim’s first stint with the Dynamo started in April 2023. He arrived from Croatian top-flight facet NK Lokomotiva.
Ibrahim may make his Dynamo re-appearance on Saturday, when Houston host the Portland Timbers (8:30 p.m. ET | AppleTV).
