College Board recognizes GCPS schools for the AP School Honor Roll
Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) celebrates the announcement of 16 schools being named to the 2025 AP® School Honor Roll by the College Board. This schools highlights nationwide which are increasing entry to Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and delivering outcomes for college students whereas broadening entry to rigorous distinction educational alternatives.
The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that display success in three areas: school tradition, school credit score, and school optimization, throughout 4 ranges of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. These indicators mirror efforts to extend AP participation, guarantee college students are ready to earn school credit score, and encourage college students to take full benefit of superior educational alternatives.

For a college to be acknowledged on the AP School Honor Roll, it have to be situated inside the United States (together with US territories) or Canada and meet every of the following standards anchored in research-based relationships between AP and school outcomes:
- College Culture: 40% or extra of the graduating cohort took a minimum of 1 AP Exam throughout highschool.
- College Credit: 25% or extra of the graduating cohort scored a 3 or greater on a minimum of 1 AP Exam throughout highschool.
- College Optimization: 2% or extra of the graduating cohort took 5 or extra AP Exams throughout highschool.
