Bruins begin trade deadline day with minor deal with Flyers


The Bruins began trade deadline day with a minor deal with the Flyers.

Boston acquired forwards Alexis Gendron and Massimo Rizzo on Friday in trade for ahead Brett Harrison and defenseman Jackson Edward.

None of the gamers concerned have NHL expertise.

Harrison and Edward have been with Providence all season.

Gendron has 10 objectives and 22 factors this season for the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The 22-year-old was drafted within the seventh spherical in 2022 by the Flyers. In 127 profession video games with the Phantoms, he has 35 objectives and 57 factors.

Rizzo has performed in 29 video games for the ECHL’s Reading Royals this season, accumulating six objectives and 22 factors. Rizzo, 24, was initially a seventh-round choice of the Hurricanes in 2019.
