With six home runs, Guardians beat the Reds 10-3 to win the series

CLEVELAND (AP) — Kyle Manzardo homered twice, rookie Chase DeLauter and Angel Martinez and Jose Ramirez every hit a two-run homer as the Cleveland Guardians homered a season-high six occasions in a 10-3 rout of the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday.

Manzardo hit a two-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth. Brayan Rocchio went over the wall as the Guardians let go on the hottest day this season at Progressive Field.

It is the first time they’ve hit six home runs at home since April 30, 2013. The final time they visited was in 2019 at Yankee Stadium.

Cleveland is the third crew to hit six home runs in a sport this season, becoming a member of Boston and Washington.

Highly valued rookie Travis Bazzana had three hits for Cleveland, which received two of three in the first series between the Ohio groups in 2026.

Cleveland’s explosion of energy backed up Gavin Williams (6-3), who struck out seven in six innings.

Elly De La Cruz homered for Cincinnati. The Reds have misplaced 9 of 10 on the highway.
