“I’m so excited for where the journey takes me next.”
After about two years, WBZ-TV reporter Samantha Chaney introduced final Friday that it was her final day with the station.
“All I can say is: thank you, thank you, thank you!” she captioned a social media post sharing the news.
“To the work friends who became family, the journalists who taught me so much, and most importantly, the people who opened their homes and hearts to me, trusting me with their stories. Each of you have made the past two years so special and I am forever grateful,” Chaney continued.
She stated being a reporter has been a dream of hers since she was a “little girl jumping into my dad’s news van after school & tagging along with him on stories.”
Chaney’s father, Dave Chaney, was a photojournalist for WCCO in Minneapolis for 46 years earlier than retiring in 2024.
It’s unclear the place Samantha Chaney is heading.
“I’m so excited for where the journey takes me next,” she wrote.
