Two banks robbed at gunpoint in Roslindale, Roxbury, police say
Police in Boston are investigating two armed financial institution robberies lower than two hours aside on Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 10 am, two males robbed a Santander department on Washington Street in Roxbury earlier than fleeing on foot, police stated.
Just earlier than midday, a theft was reported at a TD Bank on American Legion Highway in Roslindale. Two males entered the financial institution and demanded cash from tellers at gunpoint, whereas a 3rd suspect waited in a car exterior.
Police stated the robberies are believed to be linked. The TD Bank location in Roslindale is a few half-hour drive south of the Washington Street Santander.

They drove away in a blue Toyota RAV4 with a Massachusetts license plate, registration 4MXN78, on American Legion Highway towards Cummins Highway.

In an announcement, Santander stated it was aiding regulation enforcement in the investigation.
“The safety of our team members and customers is our top priority, and we can confirm that they are safe,” the financial institution stated.
A TD Bank spokesperson stated they had been “aware of the situation” and deferred additional remark to regulation enforcement.
