Official killed responding to crash at World of Outlaws event


An officer was killed and one other critically injured after two emergency automobiles collided throughout a World of Outlaws event in Texas on Saturday evening.

World of Outlaws, an American nationwide touring filth monitor racing sequence, stated officers had been responding to an incident at Kennedale Speedway Park when their automobiles crashed.

“There is an ongoing investigation of the incident. The remainder of the event was postponed,” the sequence stated in an announcement. “Everybody in the racing community, and those affected, appreciates your thoughts and prayers.”

According to a number of reviews, dash automobile driver Marcus Thomas had flipped his automobile forward of a final likelihood showdown and that the 2 emergency automobiles collided within the infield as they ready to help.

Neither official was recognized by the sequence.
