Delta Airlines employee dies after tug hits jet bridge at Orlando airport

A Delta Airlines employee is useless after an airport tug car crashed right into a jet bridge Thursday night time at Orlando International Airport (MCO).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) instructed Fox News Digital a tug struck the bridge the place Delta Air Lines Flight 2593 was parked at about 10:55 pm native time.

Passengers deplaned through the rear door and airstairs, FAA officers stated.

Delta confirmed to Fox News Digital the employee was “on the job” at the time of the wreck.

“The Delta household is heartbroken at the lack of a staff member whereas on the job at Orlando International Airport on the night of May 7,” an airline spokesperson wrote in an announcement. “We are focused on extending our full support to family and taking care of our Orlando team during this difficult time. “We are working with native authorities as a full investigation is underway to find out what occurred.”

Operations were paused immediately after the incident and one flight departure was cancelled.

Customers had been accommodated on different flights.

An MCO spokesperson instructed Fox News Digital the airport is sending its condolences.

“The MCO neighborhood is deeply saddened concerning the lack of a staff member from one among our airline companions, a member of our prolonged airport household,” the spokesperson said. “We ship our condolences to his household and pals.”

The Orlando Police Department is conducting the investigation.
