Campuses on lockdown as officers investigate bomb threat called into several Middle TN high schools

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – Update (11:06 am): Both Page and Franklin high schools’ buildings are safe. It’s a reported swatting incident.

Update (11:05 am): Clarksville High School is reportedly on lockout out of precaution; there is not any identified threat made towards the college presently.

Update (11am): Rutherford County Schools experiences that Smyrna, La Vergne and Holloway high schools are all on lockdown on account of bomb threats.

Update (10:59 am): Metro Nashville Public Schools experiences that Antioch High School is now on lockdown on account of telephoned-in bomb threats.

Update (10:54 am): The Franklin Police Department experiences that Page Middle School can be underneath a lockdown on account of its proximity to the high college.

The Franklin Police Department is investigating a bomb threat that was called into Franklin High School on Monday morning.

Police say that the college has been positioned on lockdown.

“Officers are on scene combining the area. Additional updates will be forthcoming,” FPD mentioned.

It’s the second threat underneath investigation Monday morning at a Tennessee college.

Out west, the Jackson Police Department is investigating a threat of their very own at Jackson Central-Merry High School.

“​This morning, JPD Central Dispatch received a 911 call alleging an act of violence and a bomb threat at the school. Officers responded immediately and established direct contact with the school’s School Resource Officer (SRO),” JPD mentioned.

The division experiences that no reported acts of violence or accidents have occurred, and that all the kids are protected and accounted for.
