Why Hailee Steinfeld Skipped the 2026 Actor Awards


Hailee Steinfeld, simply weeks away from welcoming her first youngster with husband Josh Allen (the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills), appeared to skip the Actor Awards this night. Steinfeld, who’s nominated alongside the solid of Sinners, she doubtless didn’t attend the awards ceremony because of the imminent arrival of her child.

“The most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I’m having with myself almost every day,” Steinfeld not too long ago wrote in her publication. “Sometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like like a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together.”

She continued, “While tuning in, I’ve experienced this surreal, full-body awareness that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways. We’re getting ready to meet someone we already love so much. I’ve racked my brain for words to describe that feeling, and I don’t have them yet. Maybe that’s the point. For now, I’m blessed to be settling into the feeling.”

The actress final stepped out at the Golden Globes, cradling her child bump on the pink carpet in a pink Prada robe and carrying Repossi jewellery.

Steinfeld attended the Globes alone, as he happened on the identical night Allen was competing in a playoffs recreation. “I’ve got siblings that have kids, I’ve got a lot of friends that have kids. I don’t know if you can plan too far in advance,” Allen stated of getting ready to be a father. “So I’m very much looking forward to that with my wife, of becoming a dad. It’s something that I will take with great pride. And we’re going to have to figure things out on the go, just like anything else.”
