FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Senate has authorized Senate Bill (SB) 289, laws sponsored by Sen. Brandon Storm, R-London, geared toward strengthening Kentucky’s Amber Alert system and bettering coordination when a baby is kidnapped or reported lacking and endangered.
SB 289, titled Wynter’s Law, updates Kentucky statute governing the Amber Alert system to make clear activation requirements and strengthen coordination amongst legislation enforcement businesses, state companions, and media suppliers when time is essential.
