Mold concerns close school in Oxford


OXFORD, CT (WFSB) – A school in Oxford closed on Monday for mould mediation and cleansing, district officers introduced.

The Quaker Farms School had mould in two school rooms.

School officers stated one was the school’s pc lab whereas the opposite was room 320.

“Both rooms will be retested by EnviroMed [Monday] morning,” district leaders stated in a letter to the school group. “In addition, EnviroMed will be taking samples throughout the entire school to retest Tuesday when occupied.”

They stated they await the take a look at outcomes and approval from the state Department of Public Health.

“We want to make sure that we have all pertinent authorities review this so that we can assure our community that we have done everything possible to remediate and make QFS safe for students and staff,” the letter learn.
