The primary election in Texas was Tuesday.

Among the headliner races on the poll have been US Senate, Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, and State House District 86.

Longtime Sen. John Cornyn and MAGA favorite Ken Paxton are heading to a May runoff in Texas’ Republican Senate primary.

On the democratic aspect of the identical senate race, State Rep. James Talarico held a narrow lead over US Rep. Jasmine Crockett.

Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Daniel Patrick they simply won their Republican primaries.

And in a shock upset, Agricultural Commissioner Sid Miller misplaced his re-election bid to challenger Nate Sheets who is thought for creating the Nature Nate’s honey model. Sheets will face Clayton Tucker, a goat farmer, in November.

Holly Jeffreys defeated Jamie Haynes in the race for State House District 86. The seat was held by John Smithee who is retiring after practically 40 years. Jeffreys will face democrat Cullin Knutson, one other Amarillo-native in the overall election.

Three of the five seats on the Potter County Commission will be held by new people. Two of the commissioners operating for re-election misplaced in the primary on Tuesday. And longtime Potter County Judge Nancy Tanner didn’t search a fourth time period.
