City of Lincoln outlines safety protocols, closures for marathon May 2 and May 3
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The metropolis of Lincoln outlined visitors safety protocols and road closures scheduled May 2 and May 3, for the Lincoln Mayor’s Run, Marathon, and Half Marathon.
About 2,000 elementary age college students will run within the Mayor’s Run and greater than 7,000 runners will take part in both the Marathon or Half Marathon.
The Mayor’s Run will start at 8 am Saturday, May 2, on the south facet of the state Capitol.
The Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon will start at 6:55 am Sunday, May 3, at 14th and Vine streets and finish at Stadium Drive and T Street. Spectators are inspired to attend the occasions and assist the runners alongside the route and at the beginning and end strains. The route and extra info can be found at (*3*).
The Lincoln Police Department will management intersections alongside the race route and neighborhood members are suggested to organize for visitors delays.
LPD will post live @Lincoln_Police through X through the marathon and half marathon on Sunday as intersections reopen. The neighborhood is inspired to plan forward when touring through the occasion.
