Raghav Chadha Names 7 AAP MPs Joining BJP

Raghav Chadha, a senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP, introduced at present that he’s quitting the celebration and becoming a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), together with a major variety of different AAP members within the Upper House.

This growth marks a serious setback for AAP and its chief, Arvind Kejriwal.

Chadha claimed that about two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs are leaving the celebration to hitch the BJP.
Besides Chadha, the MPs named as becoming a member of the BJP embody Swati Maliwal, Harbhajan Singh, Sandeep Pathak, Ashok Mittal, Rajinder Gupta and Vikram Sahni.

AAP at present has 10 Rajya Sabha MPs, with a big chunk from Punjab.

Addressing the media together with senior AAP MPs Ashok Mittal and Sandeep Pathak, Chadha mentioned he had devoted 15 years to the celebration however felt it had moved away from the “honest politics” it as soon as championed.

“As per the Constitution, two-thirds of the total MPs of one party can merge with another party,” Chadha mentioned. “We have submitted a letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan in this regard today… submitting all the required documents.”

Chadha accused the celebration of drifting from its authentic anti-corruption roots that helped it acquire energy in Delhi.

This mass exit comes weeks after Chadha was eliminated as AAP’s deputy chief within the Rajya Sabha and changed by Ashok Mittal. There have been reviews of rising inner tensions, together with variations with the celebration management over numerous points.

Reacting to the transfer, AAP chief Sanjay Singh held a press convention to slam the seven MPs.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party, under Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, has launched ‘Operation Lotus’, which is being described as a game of cheap politics and an attempt to obstruct the good work of the Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab on a large scale,” Singh claimed.
