Man kidnaps, assaults teen before taking own life

TULSA, Okla. (KOKH)— Authorities say one man is lifeless following a reported kidnapping and assault in Tulsa.

Around 2:45 am on Monday, officers with the Tulsa Police Department responded to a name from a 17-year-old lady who mentioned somebody was chasing her and threatening to shoot her.

The sufferer instructed police that her boyfriend, 20-year-old Holden Cothran, was indignant along with her after they left a celebration.

When they stopped at a fuel station, she says she jumped out of his truck and tried to get assist on the retailer.

At that time, she acquired into a person’s Jeep to get away from Cothran, however he adopted them till they hit a lifeless finish.

Investigators allege Cothran acquired out of his truck and fired a number of bullets into the aspect of the Jeep.

Fortunately, nobody was hit.

The driver of the Jeep backed into Cothran’s truck, which led Cothran allegedly severely beating the driving force and dragging the 17-year-old again to his truck.

Police say Cothran then pistol whipped the teen a number of instances whereas they drove towards Inola.

Inola officers then responded to experiences of a reckless driver within the space.

Authorities did not know that Cothran had fired a number of pictures on the 17-year-old contained in the truck, narrowly lacking her.

When he was pulled over, Cothran shot and killed himself.

Now, the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
