Hundreds of flights delayed, dozens canceled Sunday at DIA

Hundreds of flights headed out and in of Denver International Airport have been delayed on Sunday, and dozens have been canceled, after an in a single day storm dumped snow throughout Colorado.
Just below an inch of snow accrued Sunday morning at DIA, based on spotter reports from the National Weather Service. Other components of the metro space recorded between 1 and 5 inches of snow.
By the time the final airplane took off on Sunday, 1,001 flights arriving at or leaving DIA had been delayed and 145 had been cancelled, according to flight tracking software FlightAware. More than half of each the delayed and canceled flights have been leaving DAY.
Delays included 344 United flights, 254 Southwest flights, 202 SkyWest flights, 107 Frontier flights, 31 Delta Airlines flights, 21 American Airlines flights and 13 Key Lime Air flights, based on FlightAware. Eight different airways delayed between one and 9 flights.
SkyWest canceled probably the most flights at 50, adopted by 44 from Southwest, 18 from United, 15 from Frontier, 9 from Delta Airlines and eight from American Airlines, based on FlightAware.
