Savannah Guthrie’s mom missing in Catalina Foothills
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said a woman missing from the Catalina Foothills area is the mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home near Skyline and Campbell around 9:30 Saturday, Jan. 31.
Nanos told a family member called 911 around noon on Sunday, Feb. 1, to report her missing.
Nanos said there were concerning circumstances found at the home and that homicide detectives are also investigating.
Nanos would not rule out foul play, but said this is being treated as a search and rescue, and the search mission is being done by air and by ground.
Guthrie is described as 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
