Person dies outside Unit 3 residence hall at UC Berkeley | Campus

Around 8 pm Tuesday, UCPD and the Berkeley Fire Department responded to a dying outside Norton Hall of Unit 3.
Campus spokesperson Adam Ratliff confirmed in an announcement that an individual died close to campus housing tonight, and added that on account of privateness legal guidelines and college insurance policies, campus can’t touch upon confidential scholar issues.
As of press time, the precise nature of the dying, the id of the particular person and whether or not they have been a scholar stays unclear.
The primary entrance of Norton Hall is closed off as of press time, however some individuals are being let into the constructing, as witnessed by reporters with The Daily Californian.

Ratliff wrote that counseling providers can be found at Counseling and Psychological Services for the campus neighborhood.
