89-year-old walks away unhurt after tornado rips through Plainview property
Plainview, Minn. (KTTC) – Yvonne Kruger, 89, has been dwelling in her home in southeast Plainview for 63 years. On Friday, her property gave all of it to guard her life from a tornado.
“I heard on TV and I thought I’d better go to the basement,” Kruger mentioned, recalling the second she realized her residence was on the coronary heart of the warning zone. “I didn’t get to the basement and I heard this roar and I dropped to my knees at the end of my kitchen counter.”
Trees all through her property have been snapped in half, her automobile was the wrong way up, and her storage and pole shed have been fully destroyed.
“Everything was around me in the house,” Kruger mentioned. “There was glass all over everything. All I could see was a mess.”
However, there was not a scratch on Kruger.

“My neighbors down there saw it,” she mentioned. “They came up right away to see if I was all right.”
