Gospel Reflection – Wednesday, April 15, 2026

Friends, right this moment within the Gospel, Jesus describes to us the character of his mission: “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him would not die but have eternal life.”

In his ardour to repair a damaged universe, God opened his personal coronary heart prepared for love. The Father sends not solely a consultant however his personal Son to this dysfunctional world, in order that he can reunite the world within the pleasure of divine life. The central factor of God—the love between the Father and the Son—is now provided as our middle; God’s coronary heart opens to incorporate even the worst and most determined amongst us.

In many non secular traditions, the emphasis is positioned on the human seek for God. But that is reversed in Christianity. Christians don’t consider that God is foolishly “out there,” like a mountain ready to be climbed by non secular explorers. On the opposite, just like the hound of heaven in Francis Thompson’s poem, God tirelessly comes searching for us.

It is thru this divine love that seeks us and provides itself completely that we turn into associates of God, and we take part within the communion of the Trinity.
