Ottawa Senators acquire William Eklund, two prospects from San Jose Sharks for 2026 ninth-overall pick

The Ottawa Senators are buying winger William Eklund in addition to ahead prospects Kasper Halttunen and Brandon Svoboda from the San Jose Sharks for the ninth-overall pick within the 2026 NHL Draft.

Svoboda accomplished his second season within the NCAA with Boston University in 2025-26, the place he scored six objectives with 15 factors in 35 video games. He was a third-round pick (71st total) by San Jose in 2023.
